Canalside Upscale “Niche” Apartments Now Open

Choate Construction Company announces the completion of Canalside Multifamily Apartments, the first upscale “niche” style apartments located in the heart of sprawling downtown Augusta.

Developed by repeat client Lat Purser & Associates, the 79,000-SF trendy multifamily facility is located just blocks from the Augusta Riverwalk and offers 90 one-bedroom and 16 two-bedroom units. Modern units feature contemporary upscale finishes such as granite countertops, stainless steel appliances and large balconies, while amenities capture the social aspect of the complex. Features include a spacious 24/7 fitness center, as well as a picturesque courtyard overlooking the Augusta Canal where residents can get together, grill out, or simply relax and take in the view.

Designed by Beacham Bunce and Manley Architecture, Canalside’s wood-framed structure supports a brick and fiber cement board exterior, stained concrete floors, and wood plank accent ceilings to cover the interior. Heating and cooling are provided by traditional split systems.

Canalside Apartments completed construction on May 28^th, ahead of schedule and under budget, and will officially open for residents to move in May 29^th.
