Turn Back the Block is welcoming another new homeowner to 1590 Broad Street in Harrisburg on Wednesday, February 25th at 10:00 am.
Turn Back The Block works to help revitalize the Harrisburg community of Augusta by acquiring its vacant homes and rehabilitating them or building new homes on vacant lots, all with the help of volunteers and donations. The homes are then sold to qualified candidates who wish to invest and reside in the Harrisburg community. Candidates for home ownership must have a steady income, attend home ownership and budget counseling, and complete 350 sweat equity hours in return for a low and interest-free mortgage.
