The Big Idea: Narrow 2 blocks for Pedestrian Safety at the Augusta University (AU) downtown campus while increasing the roadway aesthetics
Cost: $1.8 million
Time: 2015-2016
Details: Create a pedestrian friendly buffer with landscaping and increase safety in this two-block area as over 8,500 students, faculty and patients walk across Laney Walker Blvd. from 15th Street to R.A. Dent Blvd. everyday.
Progress: Project completed fourth quarter 2016.
